purplegirl23 and I are planning to see The Spirit on Wednesday. Reviews of it aren't good, but that doesn't mean it can't generate some entertainment (even if not the intended kind).
We'll be aiming to do the whole Orange Wednesday's thing to make it cheaper and given the choice of showings probably go for the 21:10 one. If anyone else is interested feel free to say in comment.

Date: 2009-01-07 12:56 pm (UTC)The dialogue and plot are aweful and the characters are dull. Sin City was good because of the characters and the acting, very gritty and subtle in many ways. The Spirit is perhaps a bit too "comic book" whilst trying to look stylish and dramatic.
