Once tagged by this entry, the assignment is to write a journal entry for this meme with six random facts about yourself. Then, pick six of your friends list and tag them - no tag backs. These rules should be included in your entry.
1)Thanks to much conditioning by my sister, my first reaction when I'm in pain is to find something soft (like a pillow) and apply it to the injured areas. This is all a result of my older sister using cushions and things to make me stop complaining about those non-injuries you get when you do stuff like fall over as a child.
Thanks to much conditioning by my sister applying a soft object actually has a fairly significant pain killing affect for me.
2)As a result of effectively conditioning by my Dad who used to whistle when he wanted any of myself and my siblings to go to him, say for dinner, I can't now stop myself from immediately turning towards the source of a loud whistle.
3)One summer when I was about 12-14 I spent most of my time hunting four leaf clovers, and actually had developed some good strategies for doing so. By the end of that summer I had found some 12 four leaf clovers, 2 five leaf clovers and a 5 1/2 leaf clover. My younger brother who I was competing against found a couple less than I did.
4)I once auditioned to go on Junior Big Break in secondary school with a few other people, one of my friends got on it instead, but I still remember getting all but 2 of the general knowledge questions we were asked right - the football and soap ones.
5)According to my family I was a quiet child to the extent they were quite worried about me. Apparently when I finally spoke my first words were a direct copy of something my Mum said perfectly pronounced and very clear. I then didn't say anything for a while after that, and when I started talking again (and from then on) I spoke with a slight lisp and a tendency to mumble and speak too fast.
6)When I was taught to drive I was never taught the emergency stop. It was only when I did my pass plus some 9 months after passing (though I hadn't driven at all in that time) that I was taught how to.
I tag the first five people who read this, and my sister
