It's good to LARP

I tried updating this yesterday but I was too tired. So now I have lots of things to write about today. Unfortunately I'm still shattered.
Firstly, because its good news CONGRATULATIONS to Elmyra for getting a job with P&G, I can poke her about it tonight.
Thanks to the brilliance of accidental timing I managed to catch part of the total lunar eclipse on well Sunday technically. Break in the clouds exactly where the moon was at about 2am. The eclipse itself had happened an hour before but I got to see it half covered. England is at least consistent. Major astronomical event guarantees total cloud cover across the country.
Went LARPing on Sunday one of Almost Honest's and Carina's high level ones. It was good fun to get to play Aurinyan again, and I'm still useful in a high level party which is good to know. Thanks to both of them for running it was really well done.
Of course I still ache; I haven't run that much in a long time. Nicely all the climbing the stairs up to level 8 of Norwood appears to have paid off. I was actually able to out run a large number of the people there much to my suprise and relief.
All in all a very good weekend. It was nice to see people I hadn't seen in a while again. Got to spend lots of time with P and got to play a truly inspired larp.
Of course after all that I'm exhausted. I've been struggling to stay awake at work yesterday and today. Tonight Neil Gaiman is doing a signing in Bristol which I'm going to which means another busy evening. I do have some time in between work and the start time, so I'm going to visit Sara. See how she's getting on etc. Luckily she lives a few minutes from where I work and a few minutes from the centre of Bristol. So that means I'll get a chance to have a nice relaxing hour away from traffic and without having to worry about leaving quickly to get there.
Well thats all I can remember for now, must remember to talk to drabbit about Hitman 2 more. He just needs to get a couple of silent assassin ratings and he'll have the silence ballers which are lots of fun. I have a feeling this weekend will be busy, though I get to look forward to being totally out geeked at the Scifi Quiz night. Anyone need a team member?

Date: 2003-11-11 09:16 am (UTC)Stacked with everything else that a high level party can do, that was absolutely grim. I just wish I'd asked for a Sun Blade all day instead as I personally would probably have found that more useful. Must remember for future.
