In summary as I have no time:

The flat is very nice, the carpets are brand new this is very good.
It wasn't clean when we moved in we are still cleaning, but we are doing it to the standard I've had to achieve in the past cleaning my parents student houses. We should be done today or tomorrow, when we are done it will be very very clean (to the extent we will have chemically removed all evidence of the past occupiers from all surfaces).

White spirits eats rubber gloves, rah.

I did once, but it is so rare that you get suspicious. You assume they probably used neat bleach and one rag to clean everything from the loo to the kitchen sink and end up re-doing the lot anyway!

I always leave every house spotless, but last time I moved I spent 3 days doing a floor to ceiling blitz only to discover the landlords sent the builders in two days later undoing all my hard work. Pfff.

I try to leave houses spotless, but the landladies always see fit to send in the professionals anyway. I've only had one occasion where it was warranted, and only one occasion where I haven't got the money back (although we are still working on that one, and I have a stinking letter to send to management, and the papers if necessary).

Even if it had been cleaner, I would have to go over it all anyway, but then again it would take less effort. I'm still cleaning but I took today off, and yesterday was spent doing the inside of the cooker.
