Especially for those who considered themselves good at maths until they started a maths degree:

This is to say that they had previously lowered it to 31% but even this wasn't getting enough people through. The pass mark is lower but the exam is harder, yeah right. If you can't get enough children to meet the minimum education standards, lower them. Makes perfect sense *sighs*.

At risk of incurring the wrath of a myriad of strangers, all degrees are not the same. Even a pass in maths or physics represents more than a first in certain degree subjects.
You did great bro, I for one am extremely proud of you and looking forward to celebrating with you soon.
