I have degree and a life

Though that has more with life forcibly reasserting itself into the previous situation where my final year was practically the totality of my life.
To explain the reasons behind this post: As of about 5ish today P and I have a flat to move into in July, to the extent that we had signed contracts and written cheques (though I wrote most of the cheques as P unexpectedly finished her cheque book part way through).
So the details: It's a 2nd floor flat with bedroom, lounge, kitchen & bathroom (unsurprisingly), located on Rivers Street (parrallel and slightly lower than Julian road, kind of above left of the Royal Crescent) for £290 per person per month. We have a privately owned (and lived in) flat above and below us and apparently some students on the ground and lower ground floor. We believe we may have got it because the current occupants aren't the cleanest of people (though the agency will have it cleaned before we move in) and so may have put a lot of people off (especially as they gave a really limited viewing window for people to see it). According the agent the flat is normally gone in December/January. What really made the difference I suspect was P calling from 8:15 onwards this morning until they opened the place and picked up. In terms of actually getting to sign the contract we beat the other interested party by minutes. Oh and the agency is Roman City.
The one thing is I wasn't able to go with P to see the place last night, so I have no idea what it looks like, but I do have a very, very detailed description. My girlfriend is very organised, and is good at thinking sensibly in potentially difficult situations (asking questions when viewing a place on her own for example), and I have absolute faith in her judgement. Though I'll try and see if the current occupants will let me see it out of curiosity. It'll take persistence I suspect.
So all in all in the space of 8 days I've gone from having an interview for a job I wanted (but really wasn't sure I could get) to having that job and a flat to move into in July.
And yes that does mean I'll actually be moving out from home.
Thankfully, I met Matt the Hatt on the way back and he did quite a good job of taking the shock from me, and yes if you know him I'm sure you can visualise his exact expression.
