Well Sci-Fi was vaguely interesting

Let see, Saiyuki wasn't particularly good (about the only thing they bothered animating was the characters' jaws and mouths as they spouted speeches while posing).
However, what was really interesting was the dedicated charm offensive put on by Ailsa to get me to be the chair person of SciFi next year (apparently: I'm great). That plus when Ailsa brought up sci-fi committee for next year several people pointed at me and said 'Dom should do it'. Mili seemed quite adamant about it.
It's certainly very nice to have so many people you respect, show so much trust and confidence in you.
Anyway from memory I made it clear that I hadn't said 'Yes', but would probably do it, assuming the support was good enough. I think the others would be Hobbit as probably Secretary, and random-Fresher-who's-name-I-don't-know as Treasurer. That and promised support from Ailsa through the year, as well as her continuing to run the anime all nighters.
I'll give it some proper thought today and let Ailsa know what I think (If I said 'yes alright' last night, I don't remember), but will make today's decision final.
The problem is I really don't know if have time to dedicate towards it next year. I'm not even sure I have time to LRP next year. I'm going to have to work ridiculously hard to get the degree I want and should be capable of. As I'll said I'll think about it, and could really do with an estimate of how much time it would take a week. If I do take it I will warn you, if need to spend the time on my degree, I will just make the rest of the committee run sci-fi for that week/month/period of time.

If you do have extra time, you can do all sorts of fun things like calendars, quizzes and what not. Then it becomes a full time job. But it's really up to you.
And yes, your degree should probably have priority (mine never did and look what became of me! ;-).
