Colds and Cosplay
Oct. 22nd, 2007 12:20 amSo got a cold this weekend, which I appear to have almost beaten (Yay!). As such seeing friends I haven't seen in a while on Saturday while fun, was not as a relaxed experience as I would have hoped for, but that's what happens when you have to blow your nose every 5-10 minutes.
And today after getting a couple of custom orders sorted for LARP weapons (replacement staff and a bastard sword), went over to the house of
ailsa_chan and started making the costumes for Minami Con next March. Considering she'd persuaded me to go, it only seemed reasonable to get to her help.
Today I successfully made a blue long shirt thing, and got the stitching done on a long yellow waste coat, though there is hemming and the like to before it finished. It's already is turning out really well, which is cool.
ailsa_chan is a good (and patient) teacher :).
Course this means I have now made more costume myself for my first cosplay convention, than for any of my larp characters in the last 6 years...
And then hidden behind the cut ( Cosplay reference photos )
