The Canterbury tales with Matt Austin
Jul. 1st, 2004 12:21 pmWent and saw a free version of the Canterbury tales in Victoria Park, with lots of other people. Matt the Hat was in it, which is why we'd all gone to see it.
It was very funny and very well done. They told three tales in all (well four if you include the rude tale one character kept trying to tell). It was the one about the knight who has to quest to find out what women want, about the proud cockerel and the fox (in which we learnt something about
almosthonest's LT character), and the one about three rowdy lads who go to try and kill death.
We had Matt as the knight (all the larping clearly was useful for that role), a dog and the violent one of the rowdy lads. He flounced LOTS, and also rode the campest imaginary horse you've ever seen.
It's apparently still showing and should be on tonight through to Saturday apparently. Worth going to see if you can make it.
Also Paul should keep his floating thoughts to himself *shudders slightly*.
