Just to let anyone who cares know what’s happening. First and foremost the damage to my car is entirely cosmetic and the car crash has brought to light the existence of a short in one of my headlights.

I'm currently driving the Fiesta I was supposed to be taking over at some point anyway. I have to say I'm enjoying driving a car which has a radio a fifth gear and doesn't resonate at motorway speeds. The fiesta however isn't perfect. It still needs painting as a lot of the paint has badly faded and also needs both the near side wing mirror and bumper replaced. It also needs to be retuned. The car had a lot of problems when my sister had it, mostly with starting. They had retuned before finding the actual fault a misfitted valve when it was made at the factory. Since that was fixed the car hasn't been retuned, to work with the fixed engine. As a consequence it has a tendency to flood when starting really easily. It should be being retuned tomorrow.

From this evening till Tuesday I’ll be in oxford staying at P’s home. I’m looking forward to it, a lot. It’s nice to be able to take a long weekend off during the period when P has no exam stress. Thankfully her family likes me so it makes things nice and easy. The fact that out of the two things P’s mum said to me when I saw her just as she was leaving having dropped P back to uni after Christmas was ‘When are you coming to visit again?’ says it all really.

In other news I have finally got the option to ban Harry Potter in my nation state (The Borderlands of Aurinyan) which is great. Though it worries me that I keep alternating from a socialist to authoritarian democracy, I have no idea where the socialism keeps coming from.

On yes and the drive back wednesday night well doing 55 on the motorway in a car with the front badly dented in, with one working headlight that it pointing further downwards than normal so the beam extends about 4 feet in front of the car. Then it starts to rain that suddenly turns into a blizzard with in about a minute. Visibility drops to around 5-15 ft during the worst parts of this, and the roads gets a centimetre or 2 layer of snow in about 30 seconds. All this accompanied by lightening strikes.

Certainly good driving experience, all I can say really.
