I had my first car accident this morning. I'm completely fine, if a little shocked, my car is less good, but only in a cosmetic sense.
It happened in the car park I normally park in. I was very slowly pulling around a row of cars, with the sun directly in my face and the row of cars blocking most of my view on the right, when my car stopped as it hit something. I'm being very careful with what I say lest I somehow affect something to do with the insurance.
The car park has no road markings and no set routes. The accident occurred in a point where the gap between the ranks of cars is not much more than a car width wide. I'm not sure if the other driver was moving or if he saw me.
I have photos of the accident, and I'm waiting for the other driver to call me. There were no other witnesses but he did have passengers.
His car has a cracked area of bumper and a cracked light. The bumper on the front of my car has gone in about 9 inches, and my bonnet has been bent back about an inch. The dent isn't as far as back as my radiator so no damage has been done to the engine. The bumper is also bent out as the sides where its been pulled away from the sides of my car. Thankfully the bumper is still pretty firmly attached and none of my light covers are broken.
The drive home should be interesting. Though thankfully as it was such a slow impact, I didn'r get jerked at all so haven't been injured in anyway.
