Valentines day

Right, first some good news. P has a house, and is significantly less stressed, YAY!!! *bounces*
Valentines day well I know a lot of people disagree with it on various principle but I'm happy to celebrate because well its an excuse to buy P presents and take her out for a meal without her being allowed to complain about how much I'm spending on her.
I bought her a single red rose (because well I've always wanted to do that), a small soft teddybear that smells of vanilla (an impulse buy that to be honest I couldn't go wrong with; its soft, cute and smells of vanilla;-) ) and lastly were going out for a meal tonight.
Though for all those who would wish to deride my falling for the commercialism of the date I would like to point out the following. The rose (and the teddy bear) is a from a good flower shop near Bear Flat that wasn't overpriced, and will last for at the very least a week. The restaurant has its usual menu and not a special over priced valentines version (which would cause additional problems in terms of what P would want to eat). Lastly, meh, its my choice what I do anyway :-P

Date: 2004-02-14 10:17 am (UTC)Your problem comes next year, when you can no longer buy a teddy bear or a single rose. Or the year after. Sooner or later, you'll run out of ideas or, as is more common for the male of the species, wind up spending ludicrous amounts on gifts in order to make this year as good as last year.
Though the dinner always works.
*shrug* not telling you not to, just saying.

Oh and by the looks of it Perdita can never have enough cuddly toys.
