Schrödinger's Start Date

So still no confirmation on if I start on Monday? If I chase it up tomorrow will the act of attempting to find out alter the start date? Or does the fact that I know exactly where I'm working, meaning I can never find out when I begin?

Although being uncertain about how much energy you'll apply to finding out should make it easier to work out how long it'll take.
