Weekend of Boardgames

Hmm seems like I'm mostly writing about my weekends. Still for now nothing else to particularly say so...
My brother and his girlfriend were down for the weekend which was good. Though I didn't see them as much as I'd might have done, as I spent most of Sunday visiting friends. There was a late evening game of scrabble among the family, where my brother and I managed to work together on a team without arguing. He also managed to get the seven letter word 'TROJANS', but sadly without anywhere on the board it could have gone.

purplegirl23 and I headed back down to Weston-Super-Mare as a friend of mine from Nottingham had come down for the weekend. Most of the time was spent playing Descent: Journeys in the Dark which is very much like Hero Quest. Of course there was the usual not quite getting the rules right so I expect the game will be harder next time we play it.
Other than that I'm enjoying the lack of Newport immensely. Getting to the airport has been sorted with the help of a friend of the family, so other making sure I have anything I need and the packing the Malta holiday is all sorted. Off to Porth this weekend for the first of
purplegirl23's 21st birthday celebrations.
