The Carrot Cake was a Lie

purplegirl23. My only additions being having got some tidying done and played a great deal (too much probably) of Chocobo Tales (DS) - basically lots of addictive Squenix mini-games one after another... damn their obviously good at designing hides - while she was as work. I'm really hoping the light treatment works well, I hate seeing her suffer; still I'm glad I was there to make things easier for her.
Cake wise this weekend saw the next instalment of the monthly cake baking, (which had been delayed a little by Amecon and cosplay. Aim was to make Carrot Cake. Tried a recipe from a Mary Berry book... it's a nice cake (even if it suffered a little from a malfunctioning oven thermostat causing hotter bake), but it's really not carrot cake. Possibly should have used smaller bananas or less of them when the recipe said add two, as the taste has obliterated the carrots completely. Not that there was much really. Next month (or maybe sooner than) will have to try again with a different recipe.
