Comedic Life

So for future reference, when walking about where the roof used to be, do not slip when going to stand onto another rafter and put your weight into the centre of one of the plaster boards that make up the ceiling instead. Plaster boards can't take the weight, and all you'll end up doing is putting your foot, and then most of the leg above it, through the ceiling. The fact that the hole in the ceiling is directly above the toilet, matters not except for making it inexplicably funnier by default.
The ceiling will be coming down eventually anyway, but eventually is not now, and hopefully my effort won't be the preferred method of choice. The ceiling has been fixed with gaffa tape, because well what else would you use :)
I'm fine, just gave myself a little shock.
Also I find it funny that having offered to cook dinner (for a change, I don't do enough at home really) my parents wanted egg, bacon and rice. Not exactly complicated, but mine is not to reason why, mine is just to do and snigger vaguely at the intrinsic humour of the situation.
Still I am amused at the continued, frequently physical, comedy that is my life at times.
My sister,
prosepina, produced the following quote recently about the traits we get from our family that I particularly like:
We are of Greek goddesses and Irish strength and Italian insanity. We are unique interpretations of some pretty pokey stuff ;-)
I'm currently trying to work out where the comedic clumsiness fits in, and which country/region I can attribute it too.

Date: 2007-08-10 11:07 am (UTC)A use of a toilet and an accidental fall through the ceiling provide sufficient comedy to break conservation of energy and allow the perpetual motion.
However thanks to Murphy the results of doing so, well are too horrible to consider.
Count as making it make suitable sense?
