Eeeeeeevil twin?

Sigh.

It has been suggested by those who shall remain nameless that I consider growing a goatee, my first reaction to which is of course: 'Noooooooo!'.

This particular dubious thought process was inspired by images of me via my webcam of freeness and much contrast and poor image quality. Other than the inevitable 'Eeeeevil twin' comments from someone else who can probably be guessed at, and the knowledge that a friend of mine might consider avoiding me if I grew one, the reception of this idea has been less negative than I might have hoped.

So I present below the cut an example picture. So associations with other members of Blades who have grown goatee's aside, I request opinions on goatee-ness that I may use as supporting evidence for my 'Noooooo!' response, or sneer at dismissively consider as appropriate.

EDIT: Image fixed.

[identity profile] same-difference.livejournal.com 2007-04-23 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
He has a bow tie too. Not really pimpin', though it could be modified.

I think there needs to be a pout-off.

3 rounds, winner is the one who can go the longest without grinning.

I'd lose so badly.

I'd lose before we even started.

Or perhaps the response should be:

*pout*

Eh, grow a goatee. They leave quickly enough if you ever get bored of it again. You'd get to learn to avoid spaghetti bolognaise, to always have a napkin handy after any meal, and to fear velcro.

Though if you're looking for an opportunity, wait for winter. They really do work well at maintaining heat.

[identity profile] prosepina.livejournal.com 2007-04-24 10:50 am (UTC)(link)
I humbly remind you that our cousin looked like Bepe from Eastenders with a goatee. Of course, I think it unlikely it'll come off quite that bad on you, but warnings is warnings.

Personally I'm not sure on beards, like most girls I find it an uncomfortable method of exfoliation, but a well trimmed goatee can add an air of 'prince of darkness' that's not to be sniffed at.

Call a vote amongst the ladeez in your life I say.

[identity profile] same-difference.livejournal.com 2007-04-24 11:32 am (UTC)(link)
I have not forgotten (though I have no idea who Bep is), then again considering his choice of glasses has made him look like Howard from the Halifax Ads on occasion I think I should be ok.

I have to say that I have to agree with you on the beard font, the experiences with out moustaches uncle as a child have left me aware of the disadvantages of beards.

Still I may consider it, and I already have collected quite a few of the ladies opinions too from the looks of the above.
