I think it's more the type of people on my F-list. As I've said to magicaddict, I read my friends page using filters. I'm only interested in reading Bath (or Bath-related) people, and a handful of others I genuinely find interesting. The wider F-list gets largely ignored, they're only there to get access to certain posts after all.
Thing is, everyone says that about whining, but I'd rather hear whatever it is my actual friends have to say about their lives be it good or bad or worse. After all, that is why I read them.
There should probably be more smilies in the comment above this one but general apathetic gloom is stripping them out. ;) Feel free to add them back as necessary for they are certainly in there.
Btw, did you manage to start on either of those books?
