Assorted Stuff
Aug. 2nd, 2010 08:33 pmSo I'm just going to write about an assortment of random things as I appear to have the time.
So let's see:
Saw Toy Story 3 last week. That is a good film, it nicely answers the question left hanging at the end of the second film about what happens when Andy grows up. Everything a sequel should be, and well worth watching.
Will hopefully be watching Inception this Wednesday. Have to say the trailers for it are awful, the kind leaving you feeling like you've seen the abridged version of the film already. Still heard many good things about it, and doing my best to avoid spoilers where possible.
The new BBC Sherlock Holmes mini-series Sherlock is very good, though sadly I hear there's only one more left in this mini-series. Certainly enjoying the writing, casting and acting, as well as the little insights into his thought process - definitely cleverly done. I do need to read the books at some point, but that point will be after Rachael has read them as I bought the complete collection for her as a gift. My only grumble is the BBC traditional lack of ability to balance their sound correctly, so the music drowns out some of the quiet dialogue.
Health wise I seem to have acquired random chest pain, well skin of the chest pain. No other symptoms just very sensitive, constantly hurting skin on part of my chest. Currently assuming it's viral and will pass in time. So far it's been a week, so if it doesn't go away soon, I'll see someone about it.
purplegirl23 made a Toblerone cheesecake on Friday which is delicious, so see here for the recipe
I also made my Dad's aubergine dish correctly recently. It really is good and I'll post the recipe up for anyone if they're interested. I'm not a huge fan of aubergine, but done this way they're amazing.
