Had most of this week off sick, lots and lots of queeziness, though I must admit I'm wondering how much of it is resulting from being on the Omeprazole. Still lack of acid stomach is win!
Have had house survey done, no surprises and a fair bit of detail as well as the expected covering of their own backsides. Trying to sort our mortgage currently. I'm hoping I can get the house valued at such that while I'm borrowing 75% of what I'm paying, I'll be borrowing effectively 60% of the value, which opens up a couple of nice mortgage options.
When I get back to work, new project may well be an old project but with a position of more responsibility. I may even have graduates to supervise.
Larped on Sunday was fun, even if I didn't really use the new light list. Certainly made me glad I bought all those non light spells.
If I feel up to it, I'm tempted by playing in a Magic PTQ* Sunday as it's limited** and I'm better at limited. First prize that I won't get would be a flight Kyoto for the PT*** there. Which would be interesting.
*PTQ = Pro Tour Qualifer - tournaments to qualify for the Pro Tour.
**Build with what you open, not what you own.
***PT = Pro Tour. The concept of professional magic players, regardless that they've been existent for 13 years still amuses me. Then again those who are serious about playing card games for money, graduate on to Poker where the money is better. I think the classification of a Pro Player is one who's performance is such they are always automatically qualified for the Pro Tour tournaments.
