So I'm exhausted which in all fairness isn't that surprising. I'm not really fit enough to keep up with my air mage Linte, I can do the short(ish) bursts of energy required to play him maybe 95% of the time, but extended activity really pushes me to my limits. Anyone who was paying attention in the game of tag should have seen that. On the plus side short bursts of energy I can do even after long periods of activity (once I've recovered), allowing me to be as bouncy and randomly energetic as required right till I go to sleep.
Still the 24 hour itself was lot of fun, though I guess
xanthipe and I will have to wait to hear from more people how many we managed to break with the IC cuteness. Getting Linte to meet Breeze (his would most like to meet from the 20 questions character generation thingy) was cool, as was meeting Biscuit. As always
baloonworld was amazing as Biscuit; yay for the 'You're Normal! You have parents! O_o'. The character himself had fun, and I'm glad about how I did in terms of the scout competition too, third was reasonably respectable.
Today was much monstering, on a linear everyone seemed to enjoy which was good. It would be good I think to work on my fighting, the very aggressive attacking fighting style I normally deploy while monstering will cause damage to a player party, but a more complete fighting style with attempts to parry more than just occasionally will hopefully result in longer lived monsters and a more enjoyable/satisfying fight for all concerned. Having said that thinking about it now, there aren't that many I can immediately think of that employ a lot of parrying in their fighting style, with several characters going for the keep attacking and hope you're more powerful/hit faster approach.
This morning I also got to continue to Aurinyan beating Breeze and Biscuit in order to 'teach them the importance of staying alive, by not going places without Aurinyan'. Again much thanks to both
baloonworld and
john_hobbit for making it so much fun to do (and apparently watch). Plus you know the whole dumping Aura's on people (Well Biscuit and Breeze anyway) and leaving worked as well as I'd expect, confirming again how viable the power up mage or just powers up a party and then go homes can be. Not that the system really allows that of course.
The 24 hour this year seems to have turned out pretty well all told. Though for now I expect everyone's too tired to give it any serious thought.
