Which is why I'm still awake. I'm very glad she gets to see that part of her family that is over there, especially considering it will be that much harder to do for her final year. Thankfully the flight across from Heathrow was completed with minimum fuss and no problems with security. I must admit I was a little distracted yesterday until I received the text confirming she was there safe and sound.

Now all I have to do is keep a careful eye on my eating and sleeping habits, which always threaten to collapse into a bad state whenever P is not about.

So yes I will go sleep, in a second.

The train journey back was fine. Many thanks to my friend [livejournal.com profile] jeat for ferrying me to my second train, with 7 minutes to spare, once we discovered first train was running late, and 10 minutes between connections was not enough. Just before getting on the second train I found the first one's delay was about 20 minutes, I wonder vaguely how late it ended up being. I actually benefited from late trains in Bristol allowing me to catch a earlier train to Bath than I'd though removing the anticipated 20 minute wait.

As many of you may already know, a few days ago as I write this, I canceled all of my convention appearances through February of next year due to the press of work, both in terms of finishing up work on my script for Ron Howard, and in order to free up room to begin the process of writing, producing, and directing the first in what we hope will be a series of new Babylon 5 anthology episodes for DVD.

The other result of this is that we are going to push back volume nine just far enough to make room for me to get these projects up and on the rails. It will not be much of a delay, it will be a September release, but the Babylon 5 scripts team and I wanted to make sure everyone knew about the delay, and that it is only a delay.

The good thing is that the delay is caused primarily by the creation of new Babylon 5 episodes, to be produced with the original cast, which is a cause for celebration on every level imaginable. We hope to follow up this with another announcement with the September publication date for volume nine as quickly as possible, so stay tuned, for as they say in the television business...there is more to come.

More B5! Though what it will be like without those actors who have now passed on.
