That was a good weekend

Well it's taken some time to get around to posting about it but yeah I had a good weekend, so good that I woke up on Monday feeling like I'd just had a holiday.

My birthday was good too. The meal P cooked was really good, and the cake she made was great too. Also I had candles and got to blow them out :-) There were only 12 candles, but you can make 21 out of 12.

Full Metal Panic is brilliant, I'm really glad I went and watched it too. Though it was kind of a shame I missed seeing people at the meal, but I preferred what I did. I still have vague plans to do something with the people I know in Bath as a belated birthday thing, but I'm not sure what. Whatever it turns out to be, it'll happen after exams have finished.

Of course by now I'm feeling really sleepy, thank to work. I been really suffering with heart burn too, it keeps waking me up at night, and believe me the feeling of having your insides burnt its not a pleasant way to be woken up. I hope it's not a sign I'm about to come down with something.

Salmon Fishing

My parents have been in Ireland on a salmon fishing holiday since Thursday (P's been keeping me company at home), but the thing is they haven't had a chance to catch any fish. The reason, no rain. Apparently salmon don't feed while in rivers, and what happens is the rain agitates them, and they bite at things out of annoyance. This means my parents can watch them in the rivers, see them leap about, etc. just not catch them.

Annoying for them but, yay, for the idea of catching fish by annoying them till they take the hook.
