Bristol had no bread
May. 8th, 2004 12:41 pmMet up with Sara yesterday afternoon for lunch, in Bristol city centre, mostly so that I could lend her Final Fantasy X.
So we went to buy lunch and walked into a sandwich shop: they had no bread. Went to a second shop and lo, there was no bread. So a third shop did we venture towards, and while they displayed bread in the window, it was not for sandwiches, and so our lunch was still unfulfilled.
Finally did we come upon the fourth sandwich shop, and they had bread. And it came in a bag of plastic, and was named Hovis. Though there was only the very end left. So did we buy lunch, and we partook of it on our way back to Sara's work.
At just gone two in the afternoon, there was almost no bread in any of the sandwich shops in the centre of Bristol.
