Lots and lots to say
Dec. 28th, 2003 05:06 pmNow where to begin.
First of all a belated Merry Christmas to everyone. Hope you've all enjoyed it. Its definitely nice having a christmas without worries of exams etc hanging over your head. Sorry to all of you ut there with exams to revise for and coursework to do this holiday.
I saw RotK yesterday. Its a very good film. Obviously I can't say too much lest I risk spoiling something, but it didn't leave the movie equivalent of a bad taste in my mouth with TT did. I can't now wait to see the proper (read:extended) version. So far they've made the other two films a lot better (to the extent that while I really dislike the cinema version of TT, I think the extended version is a very very good film). Generally the difference are that the extended versions contains a lot more of the little details that really round out the story, and generally the whole film flows better as it hasn't been cut so aggressively. What I'm really curious about it that in extended TT Merry and Pippin drink the ent water and grow about four inches, now in the extended RotK will they have reshot scenes with Merry and Pippin visible taller in comparison to Sam and Frodo. Well I have to wait till about October/November to find out.
Out of time will finish soon...
