Gah *Rampage, rampage, rampage*
Oct. 22nd, 2003 08:47 amFirst I think a general rant about road users is in order.
Yesterday on my way back from work I had the joy of being held up like most people on the motorway by a double decker coach happily going down the middle lane of the motorway. This makes me angry.
Today of course I got the usual people who drive 10 miles below the speed limit, people who will always overtake regardless of the speed your going and all those people who don't indicate and cut you up.
I know I'm not a good driver (I drive too fast, I see yellow traffic lights as a sign to hurry and I keep choosing the wrongs lane for where I'm headed) but how bad do you have to be to actually fail. (Sorry Ailsa I'm sure its other driving centers being slack).
*Rampages at all other road users especially lorry drivers who overtake on hills*
On the plus side yesterday I got back in touch with Nick, my close friend who shares a birthday with me. Hes the same as ever if strangely more confident now he's engaged, which is cool. He's also still very busy, hence the lack of contact we normally manage. Looks like his digital animator career is going well though. He spent the summer with Frameworks doing things including working on the new Harry Potter (I would be more impressed if I wasn't still boycotting Harry Potter). I'm looking forward to be able to point him out in film credits.
Now the other thing. Yesterday on the advice of my friends (*Glares at John and Nick*) I emailed random interesting fresher. This could have been a very stupid thing to do, I'm sure if I wasn't so tired or in as much of as a hurry as I was last night I wouldn't have relented as easily. Its worth noting I got her email via fairly ingenious means. So apologies to sci-fi if I sacred off one of the new members (*Glares at John and Nick more and waves sticks in threatening manner*). At least it makes a vague story, and nothing major happens in my life if it doesn't at least make a vague story. Well I can always rampage at them if it all goes pear shaped.
