Not sure how much time I'll have, but can potentially also come and chip in on whatever day you're using Nat for to get the bulk jobs done and dusted, as that's probably the best way to get it sorted enough that you can cut down to maintenance levels of work. Useful tricks include low-growing ground cover plants under everything else, especially early flowering ones (for the bees), and self-seeders.
