So that random chest pain...

is probably shingles; basically chickenpox the revenge for those who don't know what it is. I'll find out in a few days for definite if a rash appears, as it normally takes 2 weeks from the pain starting till the rash starts. If not I get off lightly having just pulled a nerve some how.

Still the doctor has provided me a prescription for anti-virals to acquire and then start taking once a rash appears. These should hopefully reduce the severity of the pain and other symptoms if not actually shortening the duration at all. Considering it can last any time from a few days to a few weeks, I'm hoping the duration isn't long.

Once the rash starts there will be a small chance of catching chickenpox through contact with me. It's not particularly likely, but if you haven't had chickenpox it'll be best to avoid me.

Ouch to chest pain - hope you're okay. Coincidentally, my colleague was just diagnosed with shingles too; she was fine after a few days so I hope yours goes just as quickly.

If what you've got isn't shingles and instead some random nerve-pulling in your chest then double ouch. I sympathise because I pulled a muscle in my chest many years ago - and it hurts.

Either way, hope you're better soon.

Oooh. I hope it's not shingles, and if it is I hope it clears up quickly.
