So I've tried slogging my way through the manifestos, and to be honest I've not really succeeded. I'm not going to have time to do before I vote that's for certain. I'm going to try and skim read them more tomorrow lunch, but I won't commit myself to doing a detailed analysis here. If anything because it will be too late to be useful to anyone else anyway.

Kudos to the labour government for having a summary, and the Lib Dem for having finance tables. Though I admit I would trust those figures more had there been an actual spending review. Still you need to be far more awake than I am currently to read past the marketing and look for the sneaky wordings that they all have.

Though the one thing I will say having picked up on it. Considering how fiercely independent the police forces are I'd like to see Labour try and get one to take over another.

You know that most manifesto pledges that get fulfilled are monster raving loony pledges right? assports for pets, lowering the voting age to 18 and all day pub opening were all their idea. I'd fear their undemocratic power if they had any particular goal in mind :)
