Minamicon 2010

[same_difference]

So was away at Minamicon, so missed the Blades 24 hour which I've heard some good things about. No costume, but I'm slowly getting back into this having time for hobbies things, so by whatever ends up being the next convention I should be good.

It definitely felt like a much less busy con that it has in previous years, almost like they'd decided to take the popular events and give them more time so there wouldn't be as much competition. I didn't feel like I had to make any difficult choices, and it gave me plenty of time to talk to people; reminded me a lot of kitacon in that regard.

Mostly though it was an opportunity to get to know some lovely people better, and meet some other lovely people properly for the first time. It certainly does your ego* much good to chat to someone just a few times over the course of a weekend, and have them be genuinely sad to see you go when you have to head home.

Now though I'm just looking forward to the weekend when I can maybe rest in a productive fashion.

Chucking my camera at nert for advice was a good idea, no idea how it worked out though in terms of photo quality. Still I've uploaded the pictures I took here** in case you're curious.

*Though I know I'm lovely so I'm not sure my ego needs any more boosting...

I won't be at May, will be at October.

DA is on hold for me until they release the 1.03a patch and hopefully fix the crippling bugs they introduced in 1.03...
