So house update

I can't borrow as much as I hoped (I can currently afford myself up to £187000), and with the way the last week has gone my parents feel much less secure about me both buying a house and borrowing from them to do it.
Of course what I can borrow is dependant on what my actual next salary is. Which I won't know till the 26th, so maybe things will be different then. Right now though does not seem like a good time to be buying at all.
