Water, water everywhere

Watching the progressive flooding of the River Avon has been interesting safe in the knowledge that it's not going to negatively impact my home.

Today, the railings on the path near the Rugby ground next to the weir were submerged, maybe a foot rise in river height since lunch. Tomorrow I intend to bring camera. It's just cool.

Flood defences should be okay, but it'll interesting to see how the hell the empty the overflow tanks if they need to use them. The one near my offices didn't seem to have a pump installed...
