Longer weekend

So long weekend off work has become longer weekend off of work, due to random stomach bug, which thankfully is causing nothing but constant discomfort. Sadly said discomfort beat sleeping last night.

Unsurprisingly my willingness to go to work ill is reduced when said trip to work involves leaving at 7am and driving for an hour.

Still not better, so another day off tomorrow, and all, well me, being well work Thursday.

Lucky

As should be clear from what I post, and from the ultimately minor complaints I have on occasion to post about it, that I am privileged to have lead a very lucky and happy life to date. It's been a while since I've said thanks, so thank you to everyone else for your contributions to the wonderful life I lead.

I wish I could offer some hints, some clever advice about how people could improve their luck, but beyond always being open to try new things and not shooting yourself with expected failure before you start, there's not much I can usefully say. Those phrases themselves aren't particularly useful either really.

Still thank you, and if there is anything I can do to help please always feel free to ask. It would be nothing more than an insult to others for me to feel guilty for my luck in life (unlike the guilt I horde about most other things), so I use this opportunity to restate my intention to instead continue to try to use the fortunate position I tend to find myself in to help everyone else.
