Nice Suprises
I'm lucky. My parents offered to get me something as a gift to celebrate getting my degree (my family are much happier with my class of degree than I am), for once I knew exactly what to ask for. I've been meaning to get the D&D rule books for a couple of years now, but kept failing to get round to it, so I asked for them. I've ordered the three core books plus the Monster Manual 2 for about £50, which they'll give me the money for. Of course if that wasn't a nice enough gesture they offered to pay for the games (Paper Mario 2 and Rome: Total War) I'd bought myself as my reward for completing the degree too, which I'd bought for a total of about £50 through clever internet shopping.
I hadn't expected to get anything, but in hindsight I ought to have. The only thing is I'm wondering if I should have ordered more of the D&D books or more games.
